The part is 3D printed out of PETG and allows focus adjustment.

Clarity test
The 3mm PLEXIGLAS® does not interfere with the device capabilities.
Impact test
The 3mm PLEXIGLAS® is strong enough to act as a sacrificial lens protector. The shield was tested against a 0.28g airsoft BB travelling at 90m/s.
Altough the sacrificial 3mm PLEXIGLAS® cracked the lens were kept safe. Demonstration video will be soon available.
